Rebecca Howrigan: This Dairy Farmer is Supporting Corey Parent for State Senate

I'm writing today to express my support for Corey Parent to be Franklin County and Alburgh's next State Senator. I've watched Corey represent the people of St. Albans over the past few years and liked the way he approached getting to know people and their concerns.  As a Senate candidate, I can tell you I appreciate the time he has spent getting to know the Dairy Industry and asking questions to learn more about what we do.

Corey doesn't pretend to have all the answers or to be an expert on everything - that's okay. We need more leaders who know what they don't know and seek information from people who do. Corey has visited farms across Franklin County and asked them about their challenges, their business models and much more. He's learning from us - so that he can better fight for us in Montpelier if he is elected.

Our industry drives the economy in Franklin County and across Vermont. People and many elected leaders have forgotten that. Corey hasn't. I'm supporting Corey for State Senate because of his leadership style and willingness to engage and learn, listen before speaking, and asking how I can help? That means a lot to this voter and dairy farmer, and I hope others will join me in supporting Corey this November.
